Chief justice makes historic visit to Sardah Police Academy
Bangladesh Chief Justice Syed Refat Ahmed became the first sitting chief justice to visit Sardah Police Academy on Saturday after Principal Md Toufiq Mahbub Chowdhury extended an invitation. Ahmed toured training facilities, watched programs, and spoke with officers about maintaining integrity and professionalism in their work. He stressed that the quality of police investigations directly affects court decisions and urged trainees to meet high professional standards.
Ahmed signed the visitor book and planted a mango tree to mark the visit. The academy presented him with a gift while trainees and staff celebrated the event. Ahmed previously visited the academy in September 2018 as a High Court judge. Officials described his return after seven years as strengthening bonds between courts and law enforcement agencies.
