Consensus talks begin on July Charter delay

The National Consensus Commission has started an emergency meeting with political parties to address disagreements over the implementation of the July Charter. Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus is leading the meeting at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka. Earlier, a preparatory meeting was held at the State Guesthouse Jamuna, chaired by Prof Yunus, to review developments and strategies ahead of the charter’s signing. The emergency talks aim to finalize the implementation mechanism of the charter, as differences among major parties have caused delays.
