Mahiya Mahi returns to films with Ontorjami

Actress Mahiya Mahi is making her return to the big screen with the action-packed film Ontorjami, directed by Saikat Nasir. This marks her first project after a long break from acting, with her last film being Officer in Charge directed by Badiul Alam Khokon. Produced by Jaaz Multimedia, Ontorjami is a “lady action movie” with no male lead, focusing on a survival story rather than revenge. The film follows Mahi and her son Mabshu, with shooting taking place in Bangladesh, Thailand, and the United States. The movie is set for release in 2026, with action choreography by Baba Yadav and fight sequences directed by Jaika Stunt.

Mahi had previously taken a break from acting to pursue politics, but after her political career didn’t progress, she returned to films. She had planned a comeback with Dark World, but withdrew after just one day of shooting due to personal reasons.
