Denkov blasts Sofia’s garbage crisis and calls for economic reforms
PP-DB MP Nikolay Denkov discussed the ongoing investigation involving Blagomir Kotsev, criticizing the lack of clarity about why Kotsev is being questioned. He pointed out that the testimony did not seem to relate directly to Kotsev and questioned why the other individuals involved have not been questioned instead.
Denkov also expressed concerns about the garbage crisis in Sofia, praising Mayor Terziev for rejecting the idea of charging residents higher fees due to corruption. He noted that other cities like Plovdiv and Burgas had already raised fees significantly.
Regarding the 2026 budget, Denkov emphasized the importance of economic policies that attract investment and combat inflation. He criticized proposals to keep wages and pensions low, arguing that a stronger economy is needed for Bulgaria’s future.
