Zhelyazkov vows continued military salary hikes and army modernization

Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov announced that military salaries were increased by 10% this year, with further increases planned for the future to support the development of human resources in the armed forces. He emphasized that respect for military service is shown not only through societal recognition but also through efforts to ensure fair compensation for soldiers.

Zhelyazkov highlighted the government’s focus on modernizing the Bulgarian Army, with clear funding sources and projects planned through 2031. He also praised the cadets’ training and resilience, noting their importance in strengthening national security.

The Prime Minister urged the cadets to honor their military oath, expressing gratitude to their families for their support. Over 170 first-year cadets took the oath at the ceremony.
