Devolution projects transform Shurugwi District under Mnangagwa’s leadership

Shurugwi District is seeing positive changes from the Second Republic’s devolution program. Residents say improvements like better roads, affordable housing, and expanded water projects have greatly improved their lives.

A local resident praised the partnership between the government and council, noting its impact on health services and the distribution of devolution funds for key projects benefiting vulnerable people. Shurugwi’s Town Secretary, Archbord Ncube, confirmed that additional funding has allowed the council to complete important projects that were previously delayed.

Leaders appreciate the government’s role in transforming local communities, working towards the national goal of an upper-middle-income society by 2030. Shurugwi North legislator Joseph Mpasi expressed gratitude for the vision and support that make devolution successful.
