Bulawayo hosts massive Catholic prayer event for national unity
Bulawayo was filled with spiritual energy on Saturday as the Catholic Archdiocese hosted a major day of prayer, gathering thousands of people to pray for the nation. The event, held every 25 years, took place at Our Lady of Fatima Parish and focused on national unity, development, and harmony.
Colonel Miniyothabo Chiwenga, a church member, emphasized the role of faith in supporting national development and social cohesion. Archbishop Alex Thomas highlighted the Church’s dedication to improving education, healthcare, and community support.
Churchgoers expressed their hope for prosperity, better harvests, and a united Zimbabwe, reaffirming their commitment to the nation’s future through prayer and faith.
