Dubrovnik hits 4 million overnight stays early

Croatia’s popular coastal city reached 4 million overnight tourist stays on October 16, two days ahead of its 2024 milestone. The Dubrovnik Tourist Board reported a 1% increase in overnight visits compared to the previous year, while arrival numbers matched last year’s figures. Visitors from Britain, America, France, Germany, and Poland made up the largest tourist groups in the Adriatic destination.

Mayor Mato Franković credited the achievement to balanced tourism management and year-round development strategies. The city recorded 4.5 million overnight stays and 1.3 million arrivals in 2024, making it Croatia’s top destination for overnight tourism. Dubrovnik ranked second nationally for total visitor arrivals behind Zagreb. Officials attributed success to sustainable tourism practices and improved service quality.
