Economist Ganev says Bulgaria’s budget will be adopted without approval
Economist Georgi Ganev told Bulgarian National Radio that parliament will approve the national budget without requiring endorsement from labor organizations or business groups. The Tripartite Council functions solely as an advisory body under constitutional provisions that grant budgetary authority exclusively to the National Assembly, according to Ganev, who explained that government officials must solicit stakeholder opinions but face no obligation to incorporate their recommendations.
The financial plan lacks proper balance and may enable inappropriate capital program expenditures rather than generating genuine value for citizens, Ganev stated during the Horizont program interview. He cautioned that such fiscal approaches will constrain national prosperity below potential levels while stopping short of triggering complete financial collapse.
