Election officials face tough questions from parties in Thanbyuzayat

Electoral officials convened representatives from six political organizations on Friday at government offices in Thanbyuzayat Township to discuss procedures for the upcoming multiparty voting. Township administrators and election commission members briefed party delegates on campaign regulations and rally protocols during the gathering in Mon State.

U Aung Moe Lwin from the Township Management and Administration Committee opened proceedings before U Than Win and Daw Win Win Myat from election oversight bodies presented guidance on conducting a successful ballot. Participants from the Union Solidarity and Development Party joined delegates from the National Unity Party, People’s Party, National Interest Progress Party and Mon Unity Party alongside independent candidates at the session. Attendees posed questions about electoral processes that government officials addressed through explanations and group discussion.
