England reveals starting XI for T20I opener against New Zealand
England has announced their starting XI for the first T20I against New Zealand at Hagley Oval in Christchurch on Saturday, with Harry Brook leading the team as captain. Phil Salt and Jos Buttler will open the innings, while Jacob Bethell has earned a spot in the middle order, alongside Tom Banton, Sam Curran, and Jordan Cox.
The pace attack will be led by Brydon Carse and Luke Wood, with spinners Liam Dawson and Adil Rashid providing support.
New Zealand’s squad includes captain Mitchell Santner, all-rounder Rachin Ravindra, and seam-bowling all-rounder Jimmy Neesham, alongside pacers Jacob Duffy, Zak Foulkes, Matt Henry, and Kyle Jamieson. Michael Bracewell joins Santner in the spin department, and Tim Seifert will be the wicket-keeper.
