Fadillah Yusof leads Sarawak state honours list

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof received the Datuk Amar Bintang Kenyalang award in celebration of the 79th birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak, Tun Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar. Fadillah, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, was honored for his contributions.

Other notable recipients included former federal deputy minister Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum and Datuk Richard Wee Liang Huat, president of the Federation of Chinese Associations Sarawak. They were awarded the Panglima Negara Bintang Sarawak.

A total of 1,372 individuals received state honors, with five awarded the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang. Among them were four Sarawak deputy ministers and Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik, president of the Dayak Bidayuh National Association.

Other awards were given to various individuals, including former journalist James Alexander Ritchie, who received a posthumous award.
