Father praises rally ban after fatal crash
The father of a woman killed in a racing accident has credited government intervention rather than individual organizers for halting the Pamporovo rally, emphasizing that authorities prioritized public safety for the first time. Nikolay Popov, whose daughter Siyana died near Teglish, suggested on social media that earlier action could have prevented the tragedy that occurred nearly a month ago, which also left a young mother severely injured.
Popov referenced another victim named Albena, who survived a rally incident but lost a leg and sustained multiple injuries. He indicated that recent advocacy efforts appear to have influenced officials to consider ordinary citizens before the interests of prominent figures in motorsport.
