Final Fantasy VII Part 3 tease at BGS

Naoki Hamaguchi, game director at Square Enix, appeared at the 2025 Brasil Game Show to talk about Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 and the full trilogy. He said the project was divided into three parts to honor the scope of the original game and meet fan expectations. Compressing the story into one release would have limited what could be done with modern technology. The team decided a three-part structure was necessary to tell the story properly.

On stage, Hamaguchi said he already knows how the final chapter will conclude and believes the ending will please both longtime and newer fans. He expressed faith that the last game will connect with all players who have followed the series.

Last year, he mentioned the final installment would feature a twist that sets it apart from earlier releases, though details remain unknown. Tetsuya Nomura recently confirmed that both this game and Kingdom Hearts IV remain on schedule.

Based on the four-year gap between the first two parts, the last entry may arrive within the next two to three years. Previous titles are set to reach Xbox Series S and X systems and Nintendo Switch 2, beginning with the first game in the series.
