France held to 2-2 draw by Iceland in qualifiers

Injury-hit France were held to a 2-2 draw against Iceland in their World Cup qualifier on Monday. Missing key players like Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele, France fought back from a 1-0 deficit, with goals from Christopher Nkunku and Jean-Philippe Mateta, but Iceland equalized quickly through Kristian Hlynsson. Despite the draw, France remains three points clear at the top of Group D, with two games left to secure qualification.

Germany won 1-0 in Northern Ireland, thanks to a header from Nick Woltemade, and are now on top of Group A with nine points. Belgium edged Wales 4-2, putting them on the verge of qualification, while Switzerland were forced to wait after a 0-0 draw in Slovenia.
