Google to invest $10 billion in AI hub in Andhra Pradesh
Google will invest $10 billion to build a large data center and AI hub in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, marking its largest investment in India. The project will include a 1-gigawatt data center campus with AI infrastructure, renewable energy sources, and an expanded fiber-optic network.
A formal agreement is expected to be signed on Tuesday. This investment comes as tech companies ramp up efforts to meet the growing demand for AI services. Andhra Pradesh’s IT minister, Nara Lokesh, called the project a “strategic advantage” in an era driven by data.
