GST reform sparks shopping spree in Uttar Pradesh, fuels record car sales

The recent changes to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) have lowered prices on many products, offering relief to shoppers. People are especially excited as the reduced costs make shopping more affordable during the festive season.

A resident of Basti district in Uttar Pradesh shared that prices have dropped more than expected due to the GST cuts, drawing big crowds for Diwali and Dhanteras shopping.

Another local noted that electronic items have become more affordable, with prices falling by over 10 percent.

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations reported a record 34 percent sales increase during Navratri, driven by higher demand for vehicles. Experts expect this festive season to be the best yet, as supply chains are well-prepared for the rise in shopping.
