Hasan Murad spins Chattogram to massive lead

Chattogram Division moved closer to victory at the 27th National Cricket League after left-arm spinner Hasan Murad dismantled Rajshahi Division with six wickets for 39 runs on Saturday. Rajshahi collapsed to 196 all out at Rajshahi Divisional Stadium, trailing by 205 runs after Chattogram posted 401 in their first innings. Murad completed his 14th first-class five-wicket performance across 18.4 overs, with Rajshahi captain Sabbir Hosan scoring 57 and Shabbir Rahaman Roman adding 54 before the lineup crumbled.

Chattogram reached 133 for four by stumps in their second innings, building a 338-run advantage with six wickets remaining. Opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy struck 51 off 51 deliveries after making 127 in the first innings, while Yasir Ali Chowdhury and Irfan Shukkur stayed not out on 26 and 18 respectively. Rajshahi bowler Shafiqul Islam claimed three wickets but faces a steep challenge entering the third day.
