Jahangirnagar University student killed in road crash

Farhana Wahed Ome, a 22-year-old fourth-year student from the English Department at Jahangirnagar University, died in a road accident in Fatehpur, Meherpur Sadar, on Wednesday morning. She was riding a motorcycle with her husband when they tried to overtake a truck. The motorcycle lost control, hit a pile of bricks, and Ome was crushed under the truck’s rear wheel, dying instantly. Her husband was unharmed. The police gave the body to her family without an autopsy, as requested. JU officials and leaders expressed their condolences over her death.
