Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman get invite to July Charter signing

On Thursday, the National Consensus Commission invited Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman from BNP to the signing of the July National Charter 2025. Badiul Alam Majumdar and Monir Haider, a special assistant to the chief adviser, delivered the invitations to Khaleda at Evercare Hospital. Khaleda was there for a health check-up and met with the Commission members, with AZM Zahid Hossain present. Khaleda’s assistant Abdus Sattar received the invitation on behalf of Tarique Rahman.

The signing will take place on Friday at 4 pm at the National Parliament’s South Plaza. Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus and other officials are expected to attend. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul said the party’s decision to sign will be clear on Friday. He mentioned that BNP would sign only if their concerns were addressed.
