MPT holds 17th blood donation drive nationwide
Myanmar’s state telecom operator collected blood from 345 employees at nine medical facilities across the country on Wednesday. Myanma Posts and Telecommunications held simultaneous donation drives at hospitals in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, Dawei, Magway, Taunggyi, Lashio, Kengtung and Pathein as part of its quarterly program.
Transport Minister Mya Tun Oo and Health Minister Thet Khaing Win attended the event at Nay Pyi Taw General Hospital, where 43 workers gave blood. The health minister presented certificates to donors while the transport minister distributed gifts. The company has organized 17 blood campaigns since 2017 and received contributions from about 10,000 people.
