Museveni urges Arua to support NRM for continued development
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni urged Arua residents to continue supporting the National Resistance Movement (NRM), highlighting the party’s role in bringing peace, unity, and development to the region. Speaking at a campaign rally, he emphasized the significant progress in education, health, and infrastructure in Arua, noting the increase in government schools and the improvement of healthcare facilities. Museveni pledged further investments in education, including the removal of school charges and the hiring of more teachers.
He stressed the importance of local production and income generation, calling for expanded markets for Uganda’s goods. First Lady Janet Museveni also spoke, urging Arua to remain patriotic and vote for the NRM to ensure continued growth and stability. Local leaders praised Museveni’s contributions, promising strong support for the NRM in the upcoming elections.
