Venezuela claims 17 quarters of growth despite U.S. sanctions
Venezuela is on a roll, recording 17 straight quarters of economic growth despite relentless sanctions and external pressure. Ambassador Fatima Fernandes Juarez proudly announced that the country saw a 7.7% growth in the first half of 2025, attributing the success to resilience, democratic participation, and stability. The country has managed this feat by standing strong against global challenges, holding 33 elections in 26 years—one of the highest democratic participation rates worldwide.
Juarez lashed out at U.S. interference, accusing them of seeking control over Venezuela’s vast natural resources, including the world’s largest oil reserves. She also dismissed drug trafficking allegations, claiming Venezuela intercepts 70% of the drugs passing through its territory. With Venezuela’s sovereignty under constant threat, the ambassador made it clear: the country will defend its right to peace and stability, demanding an end to foreign meddling.
