Myanmar mourns Queen Sirikit death

Myanmar’s government representative signed a condolence book on Tuesday at the Royal Thai Embassy in Yangon following the death of Queen Sirikit, Thailand’s Queen Mother. U Tin Aung San, Union Minister for Ministry 1 of the President’s Office, arrived at the embassy at 3 p.m. to pay respects on behalf of his nation.

The minister met with the Thai ambassador and staff members before expressing sympathy for the loss. He then recorded his condolences in the official book. Queen Sirikit died on Oct. 24 at age 93.
