National Races University holds graduation in Sagaing
The University for the Development of the National Races of the Union held its graduation ceremony for the seventh five-year Education Degree Course on Thursday at the Convocation Hall in Sagaing. During the event, Union Minister for Border Affairs and Ethnic Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae highlighted the ministry’s efforts to strengthen human resources and improve socioeconomic conditions. He urged new graduates to continue building their skills and to educate youth in ways that promote unity and uphold national values.
The university has produced more than 14,000 graduates across a range of education and teaching programs since its founding. Certificates were presented to the latest cohort, with outstanding students receiving special recognition from the Union minister and Sagaing Region chief minister. After the ceremony, officials met with prize winners, visited the university campus, and inspected the solar-powered river water pumping project. The day concluded with a celebratory dinner, where graduates were honored with entertainment, bouquets, and cash prizes.
