Nawazuddin Siddiqui recalls Ayushmann Khurrana’s apology on Thamma set
Nawazuddin Siddiqui said Ayushmann Khurrana accidentally struck him and dislodged a false tooth while filming their horror comedy Thamma. The actor told a news service that Khurrana apologized repeatedly and that he delivered flowers to his residence after the mishap. Siddiqui joked that his colleague sent more bouquets than he gives his spouse.
Khurrana said the scene required 50 staged hits and one blow connected with actual force. The performers described a comfortable atmosphere during the set that helped their work together. Khurrana noted that acting alongside a cooperative partner raises the quality of performances for everyone involved.
Director Aditya Sarpotdar released Thamma in theaters on Oct. 21. The film stars Rashmika Mandanna and Paresh Rawal alongside the leads. The story follows a historian who researches old documents on vampire legends as strange events begin to occur in the area.
