Nepal’s chief justice arrives in Dhaka for official visit

Nepal’s top judicial official arrived in the Bangladeshi capital on Saturday evening for a four-day diplomatic visit. Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut is leading a delegation at the request of his Bangladeshi counterpart, Syed Refaat Ahmed, according to a statement from the Nepalese Embassy in Dhaka.

Three other senior judicial figures are accompanying Raut on the trip, which runs from Nov. 1 through Nov. 4. Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla and Justice Binod Sharma are part of the visiting group, along with Chief Registrar Bimal Paudel.

Officials from both nations greeted the delegation when they touched down at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Ghanshyam Bhandari, who serves as Nepal’s ambassador to Bangladesh, was present for the arrival. Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee, the registrar general for Bangladesh’s Supreme Court, also welcomed the visitors.
