Nigar Sultana Joty proud despite costly dropped catches

Bangladesh Women’s captain Nigar Sultana Joty stayed calm after three dropped catches cost her team a win against South Africa in Vizag. Despite posting a record 232 for 6, Bangladesh lost by three wickets in a thrilling match.

With South Africa struggling at 64 for 4, Bangladesh had control until they missed key chances. Laura Wolvaardt, Chloe Tryon, and Nadine de Klerk all made important contributions after being dropped. Joty focused on her team’s effort, saying that missed catches are part of the game.

She explained that dew made it hard for the players to grip the ball. Despite the loss, Joty was proud of her team’s performance.
