PM Modi calls Satish Shah a true legend of Indian entertainment

Prime Minister Narendra Modi honored the late performer Satish Shah as an entertainment icon whose comedic talent enriched the lives of millions. Modi extended his sympathies to Shah’s relatives and supporters on his social media platform, formerly Twitter, on Sunday, October 26.

Medical teams from P.D. Hinduja Hospital attempted resuscitation at Shah’s home and continued emergency procedures after transport but could not revive him. The facility received a distress call about Shah’s condition before dispatching an ambulance with personnel who discovered him unresponsive.

Bollywood figures such as Kajol, R Madhavan, Karan Johar and Anupam Kher posted remembrances online. Rajesh Kumar, who worked alongside Shah in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, described the death as comparable to losing a father figure.

Funeral services occurred at Pawan Hans Cremation Ground in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, at noon on Sunday. Shah leaves behind his wife, designer Madhu Shah.
