Police target youth group behind anti-Mnangagwa video ahead of October protests

Police said nearly a dozen National Youth Service graduates are being investigated after appearing in a viral video calling for the fall of President Mnangagwa’s government. The video shows them criticizing the 2017 military coup and calling for action against corruption. The graduates warned they would protest if corrupt officials were not arrested within 24 hours.

Blessed Geza, a former Zanu PF member, has also called for a protest on October 17, urging Zimbabweans to join his “Million Citizens March for Zimbabwe’s Future.” Geza has accused businessmen of corruption and called for their arrest. His protest comes amid rising political tension and the Zanu PF conference in Mutare.
