Prashant Kishor kicks off Bihar campaign in Tejashwi’s bastion
Prashant Kishor, the election strategist turned politician, just launched his Bihar election campaign with a fiery visit to Raghopur, the stronghold of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav. Before setting foot in the constituency, Kishor took a dig at Tejashwi, claiming his visit had already “scared” the RJD leader. He slammed the state of Raghopur, pointing out that despite the area being represented by Tejashwi’s powerful family, nothing had changed.
Kishor’s move is seen as a bold challenge to Tejashwi’s family legacy and a strategic step to position his Jan Suraaj Party as a force to reckon with in Bihar’s political landscape. His visit is expected to heat up the political scene ahead of the 2025 Assembly elections.
In his first official act, Kishor’s party unveiled 51 candidates, with a strong representation from Scheduled Castes, OBCs, and minorities. Notably, the list includes Jagriti Thakur, the granddaughter of Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur, and Bhojpuri actor Ritesh Pandey, setting the stage for a high-stakes contest.
