Prime Minister pushes development plans in Cocokyun
Myanmar Prime Minister U Nyo Saw visited Cocokyun in the Yangon Region on Saturday to review development projects and meet with local officials and residents. He called for expanded production of coconut products, marine goods, and processed tropical fruits, while announcing plans for infrastructure improvements, including airport expansion, road paving, and livestock farming initiatives.
The prime minister outlined proposals to reclaim agricultural land, construct irrigation systems and replace aging coconut trees with new plantings. He also promised vocational training programs in food processing, domestic skills and garment making to boost local economic opportunities for residents.
U Nyo Saw emphasized the need for cooperation between citizens and government departments to advance township development. He distributed food supplies, crop seeds and broadcasting equipment to officials before inspecting a solar power facility and sites designated for water reservoir construction.
