Ravindra Jadeja expects tough challenge on Day Three against West Indies
India vice-captain Ravindra Jadeja expects a challenging day for the spin bowlers on Day Three of the second Test against the West Indies. He noted that the pitch at Arun Jaitley Stadium lacked significant turn and bounce. After India declared at 518/5 on Day Two, Jadeja took three wickets, leaving the West Indies at 140/4. He highlighted that the team must adapt by varying pace and mixing up deliveries, as the ball isn’t spinning much.
Indian captain Shubman Gill continued his fine form, scoring 129 not out. His knock, including 16 fours and two sixes, marked his highest score in home Tests. Jadeja praised Gill’s leadership and consistency since becoming captain. He also acknowledged the growth of young players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, whose cricketing intelligence impresses him.
