Saint Petersburg Days celebrated in Yangon
A Russian delegation led by Mr. Evgeny Grigoriev arrived in Yangon and was welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and regional officials at the airport.
The Days of Saint Petersburg event was held at Lotte Hotel, attended by government officials, military leaders, the Russian ambassador, and other guests. Video clips showcasing landmarks of Saint Petersburg and Myanmar, along with a message from Governor Alexander Beglov, were presented.
Traditional dances by Russian, Belarusian, and Myanmar performers followed the speeches. Bouquets were given to the cultural troupes, and gifts were exchanged between the chief minister and Mr. Grigoriev.
The event concluded with the opening of a photo exhibition and a hosted lunch at the Crystal Ballroom.
