Salahuddin resigns as Bangladesh senior assistant coach

Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed on Wednesday that senior assistant coach Mohammad Salahuddin resigned for personal reasons. The board stated he would remain until completing the upcoming Ireland home series comprising Test and T20I matches despite his contract extending through November 2027.

Internal sources reported that the resignation requires formal approval. Salahuddin returned to the national coaching staff last month after a decade-long absence. Cricket Operations Committee Chairman Nazmul Abedeen indicated officials would deliberate internally before finalizing their response. Unconfirmed reports suggest Salahuddin might consider vacant coaching roles with Afghanistan’s cricket administration. Board representatives emphasized no decision would precede thorough internal discussions regarding his departure timing and replacement options.
