Sanjay Jha blasts RJD for fielding Osama Shahab
Janata Dal(United) MP Sanjay Jha criticized the Mahagathbandhan for fielding Osama Shahab, son of the controversial Mohammad Shahabuddin, in the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. He argued that the decision showed the alliance has not moved past its history and continues to represent the “Jungle Raj” era, which he claimed had pushed Bihar into lawlessness.
Jha pointed out that for 15 years, such figures symbolized everything wrong with Bihar, causing many to leave the state in search of better opportunities. He questioned how the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) could claim to bring good governance while offering a ticket to Osama Shahab.
Osama is running from Raghunathpur in Siwan district. His father, Mohammad Shahabuddin, faced multiple criminal charges during his career. Despite this, RJD’s ally CPI(ML) said it had “no dispute” with the Shahab family.
