Shuvosangho gives sewing machines to 20 women

A charitable organization gave sewing machines to 20 women in Jibannagar Upazila on Thursday after they finished a three-month training program. The ceremony took place at 11 a.m. at Jibannagar Thana Model Pilot Secondary School, with local officials and community leaders in attendance. Bashundhara Shuvosangho distributed the equipment to help recipients earn income from home and achieve financial independence.

Assistant Commissioner Syedjadi Mahbuba Manzur Mouna said the women could start fresh careers through their new skills and tools. Officer-in-Charge Mamun Hossain Biswas praised the group for supporting marginalized communities across Bangladesh. Organization director Zakaria Zaman said the program reflects broader efforts in education assistance and housing support for disadvantaged families.

The women thanked organizers for creating opportunities to support themselves through their abilities. Officials said similar initiatives would continue to benefit poor residents in the region. Speakers emphasized that the parent company operates as a humanitarian entity committed to helping vulnerable populations nationwide.
