Sustainable Water Management Expo 2025 opens in Dhaka

The three-day ‘Sustainable Water Management Expo 2025’ began on Thursday at the International Convention City Bashundhara in Dhaka. Organized by the Bangladesh Water Works Association (BWWA), the expo aims to address global water scarcity and climate change issues.

This year, 30 organizations are showcasing 53 stalls with innovations in water and sanitation. Dhaka WASA’s managing director Md Shahjahan Miah highlighted the importance of reducing groundwater use and promoting surface water for a sustainable future.

The expo also emphasizes collaboration between public and private sectors, with discussions on efficient water use, safe sanitation, and modern purification systems. Sponsors include City Bank, Anwar Group, and Aushora Group, and the event runs from October 16-18.
