Teenage boy, newlyweds missing after deadly fire in Mirpur

A deadly fire tore through a garment factory and chemical warehouse in Mirpur’s Shialbari area on Tuesday, leaving several people, including a teen and a newlywed couple, missing.

Mohammad Alim, 13, worked as a helper at Anwar Fashion and hasn’t been seen since the blaze. He lived with his mother and two brothers in Rupnagar.

A newlywed couple, Alo and her husband Joy, also vanished after the fire. Alo’s father was seen crying while holding a photo of the couple, saying he hadn’t heard from them.

The couple’s relative, Mohammad Hasan, sobbed, saying they had no clue if they were alive.
