Top terror leader Subrata Bain charged in arms case

A Dhaka tribunal has framed charges against top terror suspect Subrata Bain and three accomplices in an arms case filed at Hatirjheel Police Station. The other accused are Abu Rasel Masud, MAS Shareef, and Arafat Ibne Nasir. Judge Fahmida Jahangir rejected their petitions to be exempted from the case and proceeded with framing charges. Bain and Arafat appeared in court, while Masud and Shareef joined virtually from prison. The accused pleaded not guilty, and the court set 16 November for the first day of witness testimony. Bain, arrested in May, is linked to a criminal network and was involved in a weapons seizure during a raid by the Bangladesh Army.
