Trump mulls Tomahawk missile deal with Ukraine

Sending US-made Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine would have more symbolic value than practical impact, according to EU officials. Ukraine already has drones that can target Moscow, and it would take time to train its military to use the long-range missiles.

US President Trump is considering the request but has not made a final decision. After speaking with Russian President Putin, Trump expressed concern about keeping enough Tomahawks for US security.

The EU has urged the US to send more advanced weapons to Ukraine, but Trump’s talks with Putin suggest the missiles might not be delivered, as Putin warned it could harm peace efforts.
