UK Carrier Strike Group wraps up historic Konkan drill with Indian Navy

The United Kingdom’s Carrier Strike Group, led by the HMS Prince of Wales, left India on Tuesday after a successful exercise with the Indian Navy. The group completed the Konkan 2025 drills, which included port visits to Mumbai and Goa. Both navies trained together in two phases, from October 5 to 12, focusing on maritime operations and building ties. This marked the first time a British and Indian Carrier Strike Group joined forces for such exercises.

The exercise featured a mix of professional discussions, sports events, and cultural activities, along with complex maritime drills. The UK brought assets from Norway and Japan, while India participated with the INS Vikrant and other naval units. The joint effort highlighted shared commitments to maritime security and regional stability.
