Young leaders from Norway, Sweden visit Bangladesh

Young political leaders from Norway and Sweden recently visited Bangladesh, guided by the United Nations Development Programme. The visit focused on Bangladesh’s journey towards democracy, climate resilience, and inclusive development. The delegation observed preparations for the upcoming 2026 national elections and visited various sites, including the Election Commission’s Office in Khulna.

They met with Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus, women in Khulna and the Sundarbans, and youth leaders in Dhaka. The visit also included a ‘Youth Adda’ with Bangladeshi political leaders, a tour of the National Parliament, and meetings with the chief justice, attorney general, and a Consensus Commission member.
