Zagreb’s foodie scene explodes with new flavor hub

Zagreb is sharpening its identity as a culinary destination with two new initiatives: All the Flavours of Zagreb and the Delicious Zagreb digital platform. Launched at a press event at Restaurant Tac, the project’s aim is to showcase the city’s evolving food scene, which has grown from limited international options two decades ago to a vibrant mix of local innovation and global influences, including Michelin-recognized talent.

The platform, deliciouszagreb.hr, features restaurants, bars, winemakers, and local producers, along with chef-curated recipes and thematic food routes. A new video series by chef Ana Ugarković, “Ana Cooks, Zagreb Loves,” explores seasonal ingredients and urban culinary traditions. British content creator Paul Bradbury is also helping promote Zagreb’s gastronomy to international audiences. Meanwhile, the Zagreb Tourist Board continues professional development efforts, recently hosting a Michelin Masterclass led by two-star Austrian chef Alain Weissgerber for 11 local chefs. The board cites data showing that more than half of global travelers seek food-focused experiences, reinforcing Zagreb’s strategy to position cuisine as a central part of its tourism appeal.
