Zimbabwe sends buses to South Africa for DNC Coach crash victims’ families
The Zimbabwean government has swiftly mobilized support for families affected by the tragic DNC Coach accident in South Africa that killed 43 people. Transport has been arranged to take relatives from Harare to Polokwane, where they will help identify the victims’ remains. Buses are scheduled to depart today from the National Disaster Management Centre in Harare.
President Mnangagwa declared the accident a State of Disaster and ordered State-assisted funerals for the victims. Minister Daniel Garwe urged relatives to come forward to assist with the identification process, while confirming that repatriation will begin once the bodies are identified. Both Presidents Mnangagwa and Ramaphosa expressed condolences to the grieving families.
